Flying to Bangkok

For those who fly often, this flying experience thing is nothing new to you. For me this is the first time flying. It's a really cool experience; and an exiciting one too.
First of all, i have to check in EXTREMELY EARLY for the flight scheduled. the flight is at 10.40 and i have to start moving at about 6.30am! After all the procedures are done, there's still time to hangout for a while.
LCCT entrance
A little busy cafe at the airport. Expensive as hell but heck i was hungry for anything.

30 minutes before take-off, it's time to board the plane. You know what, people already lining up at the front gate for ages to board the plane, it sort of reminds me of people queuing up for buses and people scrambling in to board the flights. The best part is the moment we actually take off. It's a great view from above. =)

Land at Bangkok, everyone has to take a bus designated for the flight to the airport. Funny thing is there are no seats in the bus (maybe it is to cater more people in one trip), so everyone has to stand throughout the journey. Fair enough...

See you guys soon for more updates!

Christmas is Great!

hey hey,

My family hosted a christmas party at my house. Food is great and all (thanks to my dad who has not been offering help in the kitchen despite being a chef), and i managed to take a snapshots of the Christmas Cakes. Moreover, a Christmas meal is not complete without a roasted turkey!

Of course, there is the usual Christmas Gifts session that brought both joy and surprises for everyone. Some gifts are pretty predictable. Take me for example, i got FOUR t-shirts this year! Yes, and the only surprising factor is the designs.

Once again, Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all!

2008 - An Age Old Thing in the New Year

The age old ritual
done in the new year
Parties and countdown
Friends getting together and fireworks
and not forget the Auld Lang Syne

The age old question
asked when the new year arrives
"What you have done?"
"What have you achieved?"
"Any new aspirations?"

The age old thought
Brought up during the new year
A time to reflect
A time to prepare
A time to look back
and the time to look forward

So many age old things to do
Done in the new times and tide

Are you evil or nice?

Just a simple quiz i read about last week to test your morality. No right or wrong answers remember =) :

1. You are at a life boat with several other people whom you don't really know. The boat was overloaded so there are signs of it sinking. Even everyone have their life jackets on, all of you would freeze to death if the boat sinks to the icy waters below. You notice a man on the boat is severely ill, that there is no guarantee he will survive when the boat reach the shore.

Question: Would you push the sick person off the boat to keep the boat afloat?

My answer: YES. I'm sorry, since he's dying anyway, he might as well be dead rather than bringing everyone else with him.

2. In the war zone, you are at a hiding place in a warehouse with other refugees. There are enemy troops wandering outside the warehouse, so any noise made in the warehouse would alert the soldiers outside. Suddenly, a one of the refugee's baby is crying loudly and no one else dared to do something drastic.

Question: Would you smother the baby to death as a quick way to silence the baby?

My answer: No. I have a soft spot for babies and children. So that kinda crosses the line.

Oh well, hopefully Santa doesn't read this because i'm not really a good boy!

Christmas is Coming

Yeaps, the time of the year is approaching fast, in 2 weeks it'll be Christmas! Holiday mood is rather insensible when you're in campus (I don't know why) So i created myself something to keep the cheerful spirit going. Things like my yahoo avatar, my desktop wallpaper and so on...

Oh yeah, as usual the tree is up at home. The tip of the tree is broken, we decorated it anyway =).
Edit: Oh wait, it's fixed...

and of course the presents i would get from my relatives.... they are either too surprising or predictable. I have absolutely no idea what they might give me. My mom thinks people our age are hard to get a most satisfying gift. I guess she's right, i don't really have a Christmas list in my head. Not since few years ago.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year People!

Of Rights and Freedoms

Well, there is no doubt that Malaysia is a place like no other. Multiracial ethics from all walks of life can live together in peace and harmony (this is so cliche as it's always been mentioned in every National Day ads...)

But the thing is, within our peaceful exterior we have our own grave problems. We are still segregate ourselves according to who we are. Honestly, we are still not a united country to me.

Don't believe me? Then ask yourself these questions:
1. List 15 of your best friends. Any of them other than your own race?
2. When was the last time you have meals with your friends of other ethicity?
3. Do you visit open houses during festivities of other cultures?
4. Do you tend to stereotype people of other ethicity?
5. Who do you tend to sit beside them?

Shocking, isn't it? To be honest, not many people can be proud to say they are the "true" Malaysian that has a diverse circle of friends.

Lately there was a demonstration regarding racial discrimination in KL (regarding the affrimative action and all). To me, it's time to make changes, time to move on and treat people the same, regardless of who they are.

Insanity

Have you ever tried to be little bit crazy at times?

Have you ever go wild with your spendings, dance to meaningless tunes, sing like nobody's watching?

Obsessed with certain food, TV show, movie or something else?

If you say yes in any of the questions, why does people having a problem when someone is doing their own thing?

Well the question needs to be answered is: Who defines what is normal and what's not?

It's okay not to be yourself for once.
Loosing up is definitely good to relieve your stressed up life.
So, usually uptight people, don't feel awkward with someone acting insane. Maybe you should join them too!

Lies and Honesty

Why do people tell lies?

Because the truth hurts.
Because the reality is unbearable.
Because the pain is felt when the honest things are said.

Because lies are sweeter to listen to.
Because deceptions are unsuspecting.
Because facades are nothing to be ashamed of.

That's way people just prefer to live in a lie.

But...
We felt nothing if we don't know the truth.
We felt disheartened if the truth is told.
We felt betrayed if we know the truth late.

So what should we tell
to the people we don't want to hurt?

Emoness

ha ha... I'm not so sure what I'm going through... let's just say I'm going through a phase. =)

my wants has turned a slightly different taste. Like having intentions to grow long hair, listening to Dashboard Confessional, Motion City Soundtrack and other bands whose lead vocals tend to scream their lungs out. Or getting myself a chain for my jeans... (If you look a little bit lower, my ass below the belt) and such.

Don't worry.... I think it's some style I'm embracing for a moment of time. Even though I'm being emo, doesn't mean i'm a stereotypical emo person. i'm still a happy, content guy ^_^

An optimistic emo? possibly...
